Absolutely amazing and unexpected find was found in the old Soviet bomb shelter!
We open the old and rusty door and fall into shock. Grabbing both, I dragged them back to the vestibule and closed the door behind me. Apparently my comrades have never seen such colored boxes before and do not know about their true purpose.
Bee hives guys imagined quite differently …
To clash with an enraged bee swarm in a confined space seemed to me an unpleasant prospect.
Therefore, a plan was worked out – one goes for reconnaissance, two are preparing to immediately “close the hatches” as soon as the retreating scout crosses the threshold of the tambour.
It was scary, but interest took up. we dressed in the most dense clothes, covering as much as possible all the exposed areas of the body and moved very gently inside the bomb shelter ..
If we hear at least an echo of the humming of a hive or another suspicious sound, we would immediately run away from there.
But, there was no sound. Only absolute ringing silence and own rapid breathing. Our fears were fully justified, only that we came here rather late.
The whole swarm was dead. Thousands of small points on the floor are bees. The bees are certainly a pity, but at the moment the fact of that sting us no one was going to inconceivable me.
Realizing that there was no reason for concern, I nevertheless checked the entire premises of this old Soviet bomb shelter, which was the last shelter for thousands of bees.
Attributes of beekeeping here were absolutely everywhere, even in the toilet. In addition to the hives and their “details”, there were more interesting exhibits. Apparently, the premises were used for wintering or as a warehouse.
Thus the old Soviet shelter became the last abandoned cemetery of bees and a warehouse with dozens of hives. Hives, store and nest frames, as well as other details from hives, were littered right next door to the defensive doors of the shelter.
Honeycomb in the frame. Mostly empty, but also with small remnants of honey.
The find is certainly amazing. Without it, this old refuge of the late USSR would not be worth a separate publication, but similar stories and findings, in my humble opinion, are worthy of what to tell about them!
