Killing Bees in a Honey Season…

Last year, in Georgia, the owners of apiaries suffered huge financial losses, all at the height of the honey season.

Bees paradise turned into hell for beekeepers in Western Georgia. Insects perished at the height of the season. The delayed processing of nut plantations, did not work for the intended purpose.

The Ministry of Agriculture started processing nuts with solutions against brown marmorated stink bug not in March, and in May – late. As a result, the plantations were spoiled, and the apiaries suffered greatly.

Working bees simply did not return to the hive. So there was no one to make honey. As you know, the bee feels danger, so the one that has already been poisoned, perishes, but tells others that it is necessary to leave the unfavorable territory.

In the Ministry of Agriculture they said: before the means used was not influenced by bees. The charges are called baseless and they offered to conduct an expertise.

The expertise confirmed that the bees were killed due to the use of chemicals and a more important issue arose on the agenda – the quality of the honey that was prepared in this region. Because of the ministry’s error, beekeepers suffered. The government promised a compensation, but did nothing.
Honey was destroyed. The beekeepers lost a huge number of bee colonies and suffered financial losses.

Glory to the Lord that this year all the events were on time! We have a good result – many bees and honey!
